Aether provided engineering support for all tasks associated with electrical and compressed air utility relocation for a large steel mill in East Chicago, Indiana. The mill was in the process of demolishing an old, unused section of the facility, and needed to safely and efficiently resolve their remaining utility problems.
Aether DBS work onsite included:

Assisting with the development of reasonable cost estimates for the electrical and compressed air piping utility relocation work;

Gathering information about power requirements and utility consumption to optimize equipment and piping sizes;

Generating construction drawings for installing new equipment, such as steel electrical poles, 3-wire cables, rectifiers, air compressors, pipe bridges, etc;

Creating demolition and utility relocation drawings for each utility and building, as needed;

Generating as-built drawings after utilities have been permanently relocated;

Providing an overall sense of project direction through scheduling, meetings, project updates, etc.
